About Gina Lyon:

Gina is the HR Manager and has been working with Axis Insurance since 2014. She began as Executive Assistant to the CEO before transitioning into her current role as HR Manager.

Gina specializes in recruitment, onboarding, and performance development, and is most passionate about creating an amazing corporate culture! As such, Gina has revitalized the onboarding processes to give new hires all the information they need for a smooth transition into their role, as well as many points of contact within the company as possible so they always have someone who can answer their questions. She also focuses on organizing regularly scheduled social events and wellness initiatives like virtual guided meditation/yoga sessions for staff.

Ginas personal core value is integrity and she holds herself to this by treating others the way she herself would like to be treated. To Gina, success in her work means that people around her have what they need to be successful and happy in their roles. You can always count on Gina to get something done if you need her, or to find someone who can help even if she cant! She is dedicated to continuous improvement, with the goal of ensuring that Axis Insurance is an employer of choice for new talent.

Currently working towards her CHRP, Gina also holds a Bachelor of Arts with a double-major in French and Spanish from UBC.
