I’m Gareth Knott, Senior Vice President of Aviation & Aerospace at Axis Insurance. With more than 40 years of experience in aviation insurance, I help aviation and aerospace organizations navigate complex risks and build insurance programs that support their operational goals.

My career has been dedicated to the aviation sector. I work closely with clients to understand their unique exposures, provide practical guidance, and develop tailored insurance solutions that align with their business needs. Extensive experience across both the Canadian and international aviation insurance markets allow me to advocate effectively for clients and help them make informed decisions. 

My approach is built on long-term relationships and a deep understanding of the challenges facing the aviation industry. Every client engagement starts with understanding the operation, objectives, and risk profile. From there, I help create insurance strategies that are clear, practical, and designed to support growth. 

Before joining Axis in 2025, I served as Senior Vice President and Head of Marketing at Covalen. Previously, I spent nearly three decades with Dulude, Taylor Inc., where I advanced into senior leadership roles. Earlier in my career, I worked with Alexander Howden Insurance Brokers and C.T. Bowring Insurance in the London Market before joining Marsh & McLennan in Montreal as an Aviation Insurance Specialist.
