Hannah Pate

Account Manager, International

I’m Hannah Pate, an International Account Manager on the Assurex team at Axis. I support global clients by placing coverage for Canadian exposures and ensuring compliance with local regulatory and tax requirements. I work closely with international partners to align cross-border coverage with Canadian standards, helping simplify complex placements and support business continuity.

I bring over 10 years of experience in insurance, including five years as a direct writer across personal, farm, commercial, and auto lines. I later transitioned to the brokerage side, specializing in commercial and international programs. I hold an Honours BSc in Marine Biology from the University of Guelph and have completed both my CIP and CRM designations.

At Axis, my focus is on professional liability coverage for international organizations operating in Canada. I help clients navigate regulatory requirements while tailoring policies to meet professional and operational risks unique to their industries and regions.

Beyond client work, I contribute to industry development as the Southwestern Ontario Team Lead for the IBAO Young Brokers Council. In this role, I support professional growth and networking opportunities for brokers across the province.

Outside of work, I live on a horse farm with my two Schnauzers. I spend my time hiking, working out, gardening, and playing music: piano, guitar, and alto saxophone are my instruments of choice.
