Marcia Bastias

Commercial Account Manager

Marcia Bastias is a Commercial Account Manager on the Transportation team at Axis Insurance. She supports producers with both renewals and new business, guides Account Assistants as they grow into their roles, and manages the day-to-day servicing of transportation accounts.

Marcia has been a licensed insurance professional since 2002, starting her career in personal lines. In 2008, she transitioned into commercial insurance, beginning with program work for professional associations such as ARIDO and OAA. That opportunity opened the door to more complex commercial risks, and she has continued to grow her technical expertise, particularly in auto fleets and individually rated commercial auto (IRCA).

She is most proud of the trust she has built and maintained with clients. Insight and proactive advising are what empower her clients to take risks with confidence and grow their businesses. She knows the intricacies of facility auto and IRCA policies, where flexibility is limited, and understands that knowing the details of these policies can make all the difference.

Outside of work, Marcia enjoys spending time with her family, especially her niece and nephew, and staying active through cycling, yoga, and weight training. Every few years, she returns to Chile to reconnect with her roots, culture, and language. It’s a grounding part of who she is, and it shapes the way she shows up in all areas of life.
