I am Betty Singh, Senior Account Manager for Public Sector+ at Axis Insurance. With more than 35 years of experience in international insurance broking, I help municipalities and public entities understand and manage complex risks with clarity and confidence. My work focuses on creating tailored insurance programs that protect communities and support long-term resilience. 

Throughout my career, I have partnered with over 250 Canadian municipalities to build insurance programs that address changing risks and operational needs. I specialize in designing coverage structures for complex exposures, negotiating tailored solutions, and ensuring that each program delivers strong protection and clear value. My background includes marketing municipal portfolios, leading risk management seminars, and advising on contractual wording to protect public sector clients. I also bring additional expertise as a Lloyd’s Coverholder, where I managed binding authorities and oversaw claims and audit functions. This experience provides a global perspective on risk and compliance. 

I hold the Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) designation and I am a Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP). I have also earned a Certificate in Risk Management (CRM) and I am a Licensed General Insurance Broker in Ontario (RIBO). 

At Axis, I use my in-depth municipal knowledge to help cities and towns address issues such as cyber threats, disaster communication, infrastructure projects, and public transit operations. My goal is to deliver practical and forward-looking solutions that support informed decision-making and strengthen each community’s overall risk posture.  traveling, and playing racquet sports.
