Chris Rusynyk

Senior Vice President, Life, Benefits, & Wealth Group

I’m Chris Rusynyk, Senior Vice President at Axis Insurance. I am responsible for the leadership and growth of our Benefits, Wealth, and Life practice group in Alberta, with a focus on expanding our presence across Western Canada. My responsibilities include growing our team, strengthening client and marketplace relationships, client retention, and driving strategic growth through partnerships and acquisitions. I am also the relationship manager and lead advisor on several accounts. 

For over 30 years, I have gained valuable experience in leadership, account management, business development and operations through the roles I have held at three of the largest Canadian insurance companies. I hold a Bachelor’s degree majoring in Law from Carleton University and have completed business programs at Queen’s and Schulich Schools of Business. 

Working with a range of industries and client sizes, I provide clients with a strong working knowledge of group benefits, wealth management and life insurance solutions. I believe in providing best-in-class customer service and value to the organizations and people I work with, while building long-term business relationships.  

Outside work, I enjoy golfing, travelling, and coaching hockey. I currently help coach my youngest son’s Jr. C team alongside my oldest son, which keeps me sharp on and off the ice
