Senior Account Manager

I’m Ellen Borys, a Senior Account Manager in the Aviation & Aerospace practice group at Axis Insurance. With over 12 years of experience in the insurance industry, I’ve built my career with a focus in Aviation and Aerospace.

I began my career as a Canadian Owners & Pilots Association (COPA) Account Manager before transitioning into Private Aviation, and I’ve since expanded my expertise to support a wide range of clients. I service a diverse clientele such as high valued privately owned aircraft, commercial fleet operators, flight schools, fixed based operators (FBO), approved maintenance organization (AMO), aircraft mechanical engineers (AME), private and commercial hangar owners. My primary areas of specialization are in Aircraft Hull and Liability and Aviation General Liability. I am licensed to provide insurance solutions across Canada, with the exception of Quebec.

My passion for aviation was first ignited on a private jet flight from Kelowna to Medicine Hat, an experience that sparked a lasting interest in the field. One of the most memorable highlights of my journey so far was a helicopter ride from Monaco to Nice, a reminder of how exciting and dynamic this industry can be.

I take pride in building strong, lasting relationships and helping clients identify their specific risks and gaps in coverage to find insurance solutions that truly fit their needs. Whether a client is managing an airport or operating a charter service, I’m here to make sure their coverage supports their business and goals.

Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, reading, and developing new recipes tailored to accommodate my family’s dietary requirements.
