Commercial Account Manager

I’m Julia Yearwood, Commercial Account Manager for Programs and Underwriter Level 1 at Axis. I manage program renewals, review new and renewal applications, and work closely with Account Managers and Underwriters to ensure seamless quotes and successful client retention. My focus is making sure every interaction delivers clarity, responsiveness, and long‑term value for the businesses we support.

I started my career as a Commercial Account Administrator and progressed to Account Manager before transitioning into underwriting. I’m RIBO‑licensed and CAIB Level 1 certified, currently working toward CAIB Level 2 and Level 2 licensing for provinces across Canada.

My expertise lies in Corporate E&O insurance, with a focus on serving businesses throughout Ontario. I stay up to date with regulatory requirements across jurisdictions to help our clients and their advisors secure the coverage they need, wherever they operate.

Throughout my career, I’ve represented Axis at industry events such as the Experior Financial Group Annual Fall Summit, where I’ve engaged with clients, strengthened relationships, and gained deeper insight into their evolving needs.

At Axis, we believe risk is an opportunity for growth. I work to make sure every conversation with a client or advisor is productive, addressing potential coverage gaps and making the path to renewal or new placement as smooth as possible. Helping businesses navigate complex regulations allows them to focus on growth — and that’s what “Where risks shape success” means to me.

Outside of work, I stay active year‑round with sports like volleyball, soccer, hiking, skiing, and ringette. I also value downtime with friends and family, going to movies and trying new restaurants. These moments keep me grounded and energized, both personally and professionally.
