Senior Marketing Generalist

I’m Kate Jackson, Senior Marketing Generalist at Axis Insurance. My role centers around collaborating with all teams to ensure our brand and messaging across our materials remains cohesive, impactful, and reflects Axis’s brand values. I leverage my several years of expertise in digital marketing, including website design, social media management, brand development, content writing, and search engine optimization (SEO).

I began my career in 2017, gaining experience as a Marketing Assistant in the consumer-packaged goods sector, and then as a Social Media Specialist in the tourism industry. Following this, I spent 5 years leading marketing initiatives at an insurance brokerage and at an insurance software company, where I focused on streamlining digital practices and creating content for a variety of mediums. Most recently, I served as a Digital Marketing Manager in the wealth management industry, specializing in crafting engaging social media, website, and email content within a highly regulated environment.

I graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Media Studies and a Certificate in Integrated Digital Media. I’m passionate about giving back to the university by mentoring undergraduate and graduate students aspiring to careers in the communications and marketing fields.

Outside of work, I enjoy staying active through strength training, spin classes, and golfing. I also enjoy discovering new restaurants and cafes, both when traveling and while at home in Calgary, AB.
