Senior Graphic Designer

I’m Ron Janke, Senior Graphic Designer at Axis. My role is to ensure our visual identity stays sharp, cohesive, and true to our brand across everything we produce, from client proposals and presentations, to sell sheets and internal collateral. With over 25 years in graphic layout and design, 20 of those within the insurance industry, I bring deep experience and a practical eye to every visual touchpoint.

At Axis, where “risks shape success,” design plays a critical role in communication. I help bring clarity, confidence, and visual consistency to the materials our teams use to support clients and prospects. Whether it’s shaping a compelling pitch deck or refining a renewal proposal, my goal is to ensure every piece we produce reflects our professionalism and attention to detail.

My technical background includes hands-on experience with tools like the Xerox Docucolour Digital Press and a deep knowledge of layout design best practices. I work closely with teams across the organization to ensure the brand doesn’t just look good, but it works hard.

Outside of work, I’ve volunteered with the Calgary Folk Music Festival for over 20 years. It’s a place where creativity, collaboration, and community intersect, values I carry with me into my professional life. I’m also passionate about travel, whether it’s sunny beaches in Mexico or weekend drives across Canada. And while I won’t be performing on stage anytime soon, I enjoy playing guitar with friends!
