Accounting Acquisition Controller

I am Warren Scott, an Accounting Acquisition Controller on the Finance and Accounting team at Axis. I support accounting activities for acquired operations and help ensure financial practices remain accurate, consistent, and aligned as new businesses integrate into our organization. My work focuses on providing clarity and stability during periods of transition.

I began my career with J.T. Insurance Services, acquired by Axis Insurance, in 2004 as Controller for the Clay Group of Companies. In that role, I oversaw corporate accounting, information systems, licensing and compliance, human resources, and purchasing. With more than 20 years of experience, my background also includes work with a national accounting firm, serving as Controller for a banking subsidiary, and completing consulting engagements with nonprofit organizations and securities companies.

By building strong financial foundations and ensuring seamless integrations, I help teams and clients navigate complexity so they can stay focused on growth.

Outside of work, I enjoy competitive tennis, long distance swimming, and gardening. I also love exploring the world through overseas motorcycle trips, which combine travel with a spirit of adventure.
