Hi, I’m Dan Fitzpatrick, Senior Marketer for Energy, Resources & Renewables at Axis Insurance. With over 40 years of experience in the insurance industry, I specialize in designing and placing complex programs across Canada, delivering engineering-driven insights and customized insurance solutions to clients in the energy and mining sectors.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of partnering with many of Canada’s leading organizations. My engineering background enables me to provide detailed risk assessments, loss estimates, and technical consultations for some of the most complex and technically demanding operations in the industry.

Before joining Axis Insurance, I held senior technical and leadership positions at Allied World Specialty Insurance, Arch Canada, and Canadian Industrial Risk Insurers (CIRI). In these roles, I managed national portfolios spanning energy, mining, and power generation—overseeing underwriting strategy, risk governance, and loss prevention initiatives.

I hold a Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical) from McGill University, am a licensed Professional Engineer (PEO), and a registered insurance broker in multiple provinces. By combining deep engineering expertise with underwriting insight, I help clients safeguard their assets and strengthen their long-term resilience.
