Marketing Manager

Hi, I’m Chuck Huether, a Marketing Manager at Axis. I with nearly 30 years of insurance industry experience, including 25 years in commercial lines. Based in Edmonton, I mentor a cross-Canada team and support policies and procedures that strengthen operational excellence and client-focused service. 

I have held senior roles at regional, national, and international levels, and for the past 13 years I have worked in Edmonton with a wide range of clients across Alberta. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science and the Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designation. My expertise includes mid-market and large commercial accounts, complex liability, large property schedules, and public entity risks. I have also contributed to major public sector programs involving cost-of-risk analysis and multi-billion-dollar property schedules. 

Mentorship is a core part of my work. I have coached colleagues, presented insurance solutions to diverse audiences, and contributed to a brokerage newsletter for clients and underwriting partners. I help organizations view risk as a strategic business tool, shifting from reactive insurance purchasing to proactive, analytics-driven risk management. 

I am active in the community through volunteer initiatives, the Movember Challenge, and a weekly industry brunch group I began during the pandemic that has grown into a valued professional network. 

Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, baking, and sci-fi. I have completed the Vancouver Marathon four times and may return to long-distance running.
