Commercial Account Manager, Professional & Financial Services

My name is Jordyn Dawson, and I’m a Commercial Account Manager at Axis, working within the P&FS Practice Group. I manage a range of small to mid-large commercial accounts, overseeing everything from client service and marketing to binding coverage and managing certificates, endorsements, and financing arrangements. I also handle incoming small business referrals, supporting clients with responsive, solutions-focused service.

I entered the industry straight out of Mohawk College in Hamilton, where I graduated with Honours from the Insurance program. I completed most of my CIP courses during school and finished the final two after joining Axis (formerly Magnes), where I began as an Account Administrator in the Assurex department. A year later, I was promoted to Account Manager in the IBU department, and later added a sales component to my role. I now hold a CIP designation, a RIBO license, and am licensed across multiple provinces including ON, AB, SK, NL, NS, PEI, NB, BC, and MB. I’m currently completing my CAIB designation.

My expertise spans small business accounts across various industries, and I’m now expanding into P&FS-focused clients. I’ve also represented the company at IBAO career fairs and lead our Community Advocates committee, which coordinates volunteer work and charitable donations to 12 different causes annually.

Whether it’s a tech startup launching a new product or a manufacturer recovering from disruption, I support clients with insurance solutions that empower them to act boldly and recover resiliently.

Outside of work, I love to travel, skate, and catch sunsets at the beach. I’m passionate about photography and interior design, and I’m a big fan of reality TV.
