Claims Account Administrator

I am Alex Mija, a Claims Account Administrator with the BSAA team at Axis. I help keep accounts running smoothly and support our Account Managers so clients receive fast, clear, and dependable service. By keeping files accurate, updated, and ready for action, I help ensure we deliver the best possible claims experience. 

My career began in the United States in the restoration industry, where I led crews responding to fire and water losses. Working closely with adjusters sparked my interest in insurance and gave me a firsthand understanding of what people experience during a loss. After returning to Canada, I completed my insurance studies, passed the industry entry exam, and joined Axis, where I continue to learn and grow every day. 

At Axis, I primarily support transportation claims and work with files across Canada, especially in British Columbia and Ontario. My restoration background shapes my approach to every claim. I bring empathy, urgency, and a commitment to doing what is right for the client. Claims work requires speed and clarity, and I take pride in bringing both to each interaction. 
I believe how we respond during difficult moments matters. My goal is to help clients move through those moments with confidence by making the process feel straightforward, human, and as smooth as possible. 

Outside of work, I stay connected to my roots through European football. Growing up in Europe made sports a big part of my life, and football remains a passion. I always look forward to Champions League matches and FIFA tournaments.
