I’m Benoit Gagnon, an Account Executive at Axis Insurance, based in our Montreal office. I focus on business development for the Quebec market, with a specialization in manufacturing and senior living facilities, including RPA and CHSLD. Beyond coverage, my role is about forging strong partnerships with insurers and clients to provide clarity and confidence in a complex market. 

My career in insurance began in 1983 as a personal lines broker before moving into underwriting at Markel Assurance, where I focused on transportation risks. From there, I broadened my expertise in the financial sector as a financial advisor and Assistant Regional Director, before returning to property and casualty insurance. Today, I bring decades of experience and hold the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation from the Insurance Institute of Canada, equipping me to navigate nuanced risks with precision and insight. 

At Axis, I help clients see risk not as a barrier but as an opportunity to strengthen their operations. Whether it’s tailoring coverage for a manufacturing firm or addressing the unique exposures of senior living facilities, my goal is to simplify complexity and deliver practical, forward-thinking solutions. 

Outside of work, I enjoy time with family and friends, exploring nature, and immersing myself in cultural experiences like theater and cinema. These moments keep me grounded and inspired, fueling the clarity and creativity I bring to my role every day.
