Hello, my name is Diego Santana, and I’m an aviation insurance broker at Axis. I proudly support clients in the complex and fast-paced aviation industry, leveraging my unique background and passion for aviation to provide exceptional service. 
 
I hold a bachelor’s degree in marketing and communication from Brazil and have over ten years of professional experience in the advertising industry. My passion for aviation led me to achieve my commercial pilot license in 2018. While settling in Calgary with my young family, I worked in various roles within the aviation industry for over five years. In 2021, I transitioned to the insurance world with BMG Insurance Brokers, now Axis Insurance, where I have continued to grow professionally. 
 
The expertise I have gained through my diverse career path in the aviation and aerospace industry has been instrumental in building my skill set. This foundation allows me to effectively communicate with clients and support their values, needs, and commitments. Achieving my Level 2 General Broker licensing in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and British Columbia has been a significant milestone in my journey. I am committed to understanding our clients’ needs and exposures to risk, always motivated to offer the best solutions to contribute to their business success. 
  
Soccer, surfing, practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, music, and flying are some of my passions outside of work!
