Underwriter – BSAA (Internal Underwriter I)

I’m Maeve Griffin, an Underwriter at Axis. I started with Axis in 2021 as a commercial lines assistant before progressing to an account administrator role in 2023, which allowed me to refine my skills in client relations and account management. In 2024, I transitioned to our underwriting division.  
 
My career in insurance is rooted in professional & financial lines, with a strong focus on professional liability and commercial general liability. Currently I am working towards my Level 2 insurance accreditation which has broadened my industry knowledge and will continue to enhance the service I provide to brokers and partners.  I also hold a Bachelor of Law degree, which enhances my ability to assess risk and craft well informed strategies.  
 
As an underwriter at Axis, my role is focused on providing competitive insurance solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of our brokers and their clients through our specialized in-house programs. 
 
Outside the office, I spend my time exploring the beautiful outdoors while hiking, kayaking and snowboarding during the winter months.
