Administrative Assistant

I’m Mathew Shahnazarian, Administrative Assistant in the Broking Services Department at Axis Insurance. I support the placement and management of commercial and personal lines business into the insurance market, enhancing the productivity and efficiency of our team. Through my organizational skills and attention to detail, I ensure our operations run seamlessly behind the scenes. 

I hold a bachelor’s degree in business finance with a minor in Economics from SFU. My career began with co-founding a stock trading community of over 500 members, where I taught trading strategies and helped others navigate risk. I also gained experience managing investment portfolios, which sparked my passion for risk management and ultimately led me to Axis Insurance. 
At Axis, my focus is on administrative responsibilities like compiling audit information, managing insurance renewals, and ensuring important documents are accurately processed. These foundational tasks align with Axis’s vision of turning risks into opportunities by building strong operational support. 

Outside of work, I enjoy day-trading, weight training, and watching hockey. My entrepreneurial mindset, discipline in the gym, and ability to adapt under pressure reflect my commitment to continuous growth and learning—values that I bring to both my personal and professional life.
