I’m Scott Beckett, National Practice Group Leader and Senior Vice President of Life, Benefits and Wealth at Axis Insurance. With 40 years of experience spanning life insurance, employee benefits, and executive compensation, I focus on helping Canadians integrate their personal, corporate and commercial insurance with employee benefit plans for seamless protection. I support national operations and hold insurance licenses in all provinces and territories within Canada.

Throughout my career, I’ve helped simplify complex insurance structures for business owners, executives, and founders. My advisory work aligns personal risk, corporate benefits, and long-term planning to help clients navigate risk with clarity and confidence, all while reducing taxation.

Entrepreneurship and innovation are core to my work. I co-founded The Founders’ Plan, a proprietary group insurance solution built for small businesses, BeniPlus Inc., an insurance technology platform offering simple, flexible and affordable benefits, and I’m a founding partner of KEFSI, a boutique firm specializing in life and benefits solutions.

I’m an active contributor to industry learning and development. I am an executive director of the Conference for Advanced Life Underwriting (CALU), Chairing the Finance and Audit Committee. I am also a 30 year member of the Financial Advisors Association of Canada (Advocis).I frequently author and speak on topics related to life insurance design, executive benefits, compensation strategies and dealing with high-net worth clients.

Community impact is important to me. As an original board member of Beautiful World Canada, supporting initiatives focused on the education of young women in Africa. Since 2012, I’ve chaired fundraising efforts for March of Dimes Canada, raising over $2M to empower people living with disabilities in Canada.

I hold an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Statistics and Actuarial Science from the University of Western Ontario. Outside of work, I enjoy cooking and spending time with my family and friends.
