Human Resources Manager

My name is Gina Lyon, and I am the HR Manager at Axis Insurance. In my role, I am responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the administrative functions of the HR department. I also focus on creating and developing various programs, policies, procedures, and initiatives designed to enhance employee performance, productivity, and engagement.

I have been with the HR team for eight years, gaining experience across all human resources functions throughout the entire employee career cycle. My expertise lies in creating best-in-class onboarding experiences for new hires, managing performance, and designing wellness initiatives within the organization.

One of my significant achievements includes designing and implementing our onboarding process to provide new hires with an exceptional introduction to Axis. I have also initiated various wellness programs, such as regular group meditation sessions and Motivational Monday emails. Additionally, I designed and implemented the Axis Mentorship program, which pairs senior team members with those eager to advance their careers. 
 
I align with Axis Insurance’s vision by ensuring that our team members have the best possible experience and support throughout their careers. I am committed to maintaining the corporate culture and holding myself and others accountable to the values we uphold at Axis. 
 
Currently living and working in Spain, I enjoy baking, cooking, yoga, travel, sewing, watercolor painting, gardening, and learning Spanish. My goal is to one day have a farm in the north of Spain, complete with goats, chickens, and a variety of fruits and vegetables.
