Commercial Account Manager

I’m Emily Moss, a Commercial Account Manager in the General Practice Group at Axis. I focus primarily on small business accounts and assist with trade credit policies. I manage the full policy cycle—from onboarding to renewal—with a commitment to clarity, accuracy, and forward-thinking service.

I began my insurance career as a summer student at a brokerage and moved into life insurance shortly after college. From there, I joined Allianz Trade as a policy administrator, where I developed a strong foundation in trade credit. After relocating from the GTA in 2019, I transitioned into the commercial space, where I’ve now spent five years supporting a wide range of clients. I hold a RIBO license and recently earned my CAIB designation.

My experience spans a variety of industries and policy types. I enjoy the rhythm of managing renewals, engaging clients in meaningful conversations about their business changes and risks, and working to ensure their coverage evolves with them. I’ve recently been involved in new business development, which has expanded my approach to client solutions. I’m always looking for ways to improve how we work and how we support our clients.

At Axis, where we believe risks shape success, I approach each client interaction with curiosity and purpose. I aim to make complex coverage decisions easier and more strategic for our clients.

Outside of work, I enjoy the quieter pace of rural life. I spend my free time with my husband, son, and dog—usually around a backyard fire or out hiking local trails. I also enjoy painting, crocheting, trying new recipes, and winding down with a good movie or reality show.
