Stacey Copeland is a Vice President at Axis Insurance with more than 35 years of experience helping businesses navigate complex risk and insurance challenges. Her clients range from entrepreneurial private companies to large public organizations operating across resource-driven and industrial sectors.

Stacey advises organizations in mining, forestry, oilfield services, construction, manufacturing, Indigenous-owned development corporations, and technology-driven businesses. Her work focuses on helping clients manage risk through tailored insurance solutions, contractual risk transfer strategies, and programs designed to support growth, diversification, and evolving operational requirements.

A particular strength of Stacey’s practice is her ability to combine technical insurance expertise with practical business insight. Having worked as an Agency Manager, Business Owner, and Account Executive throughout her career, she brings a commercial perspective that helps clients align risk management decisions with broader business objectives.

Stacey began her career with AON in Vancouver before joining Finning International, where she led its insurance agency serving resource-sector clients across Western Canada. After successfully growing that business, she pursued the entrepreneurial path taken by many of her clients and co-founded Axis Insurance in 2005. Following the firm’s joining with Vertical Group in 2016 and its subsequent rebrand as Axis Insurance, Stacey has continued to play an important role in supporting the organization’s growth and client-focused culture.

Known for her relationship-driven approach, Stacey works closely with business owners, executives, and leadership teams to develop insurance strategies that protect their operations while supporting long-term growth. Her decades-long client relationships reflect a commitment to trusted advice, responsive service, and advocacy at every stage of a company’s development.
