Client Care Support
I’m Ruby Katapang, and I provide Client Care Support to the General Commercial Insurance team at Axis. My role focuses on helping corporate clients secure the right coverage by identifying risks, managing renewals and new business, and negotiating with underwriters. I bring a hands-on, personalized approach to client service, ensuring each account is managed with care and precision.
My professional path has been anything but linear. I began in tech sales in the Philippines, supported our family business, worked as a virtual assistant in real estate, and then moved to Vancouver as an international student. I earned a BBA in Marketing with distinction before entering the insurance field in 2021. Since then, I’ve earned my Level 2 license and continue to grow in the industry through mentorship and hands-on experience.
At Axis, I specialize in small to mid-sized commercial accounts across BC, offering support across administration, marketing, and client advisory. I recently helped a logistics client address their cyber risk exposure by guiding them through a phased risk control strategy, boosting both resilience and customer trust.
I align with Axis’s vision by equipping clients to face risk with clarity. Whether it’s reviewing policies or uncovering coverage gaps, I aim to make insurance more actionable and relevant to the people we serve. Outside of work, I enjoy interactive gaming, Korean dramas, and hope to get back into badminton, my varsity sport from earlier years.
