I’m Stacey Copeland, an Account Executive at Axis Insurance with several years of experience in the resource-based industry in Western Canada. My career in the insurance industry began at AON, focusing on the primary resource sectors in British Columbia.

In 1997, I joined Finning International and quickly rose to a management position, tasked with building a highly competitive insurance facility for Finning customers. During my tenure, I expanded a mono-line program to offer a full range of coverage options, meeting the comprehensive commercial insurance needs of Western-based contractors. This initiative, combined with high service excellence and successful claims management, led to a fivefold increase in net profitability.

Since joining Axis Group in 2005 as a senior shareholder and partner, I was pivotal in growing the company through strategic acquisitions and partnerships. I played a key role in the sale of the company to the Vertical Group in 2016, now Axis Insurance.

While I specialize in mineral exploration, forestry, and energy risks, my expertise has expanded to include construction, transportation, and other emerging markets and technology risks. Regardless of the industry, my focus remains on serving best-in-class clients, embracing their technical challenges, and meeting their high service expectations. I consider it a success to secure the broadest coverage at competitive pricing with A+ rated insurers.
