Vice President, Personal Lines

I’m Brenda Willich, Vice President of Personal Lines at Axis Insurance. I lead our national Personal Lines practice and support teams across Canada as they deliver consistent and high quality service to clients. My role focuses on developing strong account management teams, improving operational processes, and supporting growth in partnership with our sales and leadership groups. 

With more than 35 years of experience in the Canadian insurance industry and my CAIB designation, I bring deep expertise in personal insurance and risk management. I have received the Axis Corporate Value Award five times, and I serve on the Board of the Insurance Brokers Association of B.C., where I advocate for brokers and contribute to strengthening the industry. 

As National Vice President of Personal Lines, I help clients understand risk with clear and practical guidance. Natural catastrophes across Canada continue to reshape personal insurance needs. My team provides straightforward insights, strong advocacy, and a steady approach so clients can make informed decisions about protecting their homes, vehicles, and families. 

I remain active in industry leadership through my work on the National Catastrophic Loss Committee and through mentoring women who are building their careers in insurance. Supporting the next generation of leaders is an important part of my work both inside and outside Axis. 

Outside the office, I maintain a balanced and active lifestyle through fitness, golf, and teaching yoga. I enjoy travelling to sunny destinations, exploring new experiences, and relaxing with a good book. Spending time with my family is what keeps me grounded and inspired.
