Kari Montes

Vice President, Business Systems

Hello, I’m Kari Montes, Vice President of Business Systems at Axis Insurance. I hold a Bachelors of Music (Distinction) from the University of Victoria, a Masters in Music Theory from the University of British Columbia, and a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from Simon Fraser University’s Segal Graduate School. I also carry a Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) Honours Designation.

I am experienced in all lines of General Insurance. During my 25+ year insurance career, I have handled all types of Personal and Commercial insurance. I also have 19 years of experience in senior insurance management roles and am passionate about using technology and process to solve business problems.

I currently serve as Director at Large on the Applied Client Network board of directors, the largest group of educators and advocates for users of Applied Systems Software such as Applied Epic.

When not at the office, I enjoy keeping up with pop culture with my teenaged twin boys and train agility and nosework with my three dogs – Vortex, Stark, and Ahsoka.
