As the Employee Development Coordinator at Axis Insurance, I focus on ensuring our people feel supported, empowered, and confident in their growth. My role centers on helping employees navigate their career journey, whether they’re preparing for licensing exams, learning new workflows, or strengthening their business acumen. Every day brings something different, and I thrive in an environment where I can respond directly to the evolving needs of our team. My goal is to enhance engagement, strengthen capability, and contribute to a workplace where individuals feel valued and set up for success. 

With more than 25 years in the insurance industry, my career started in Personal Lines before shifting into training and HR. I hold a Master’s degree in Adult Education from Griffith University in Australia, which shapes my approach to practical, accessible learning that supports real‑world performance. 

Based in our Oakville office, I work with employees across all Axis locations and focus on creating an environment where learning feels personal, safe, and meaningful. Having once entered the industry with no insurance background myself, I bring empathy and a learner‑first mindset to every session. 

I believe that when people feel supported, they are better equipped to take smart risks, embrace new challenges, and grow with confidence. My work aligns with Axis’s commitment to “Where risks shape success” by helping employees build the knowledge and resilience they need to serve clients with clarity, compassion, and expertise. 

Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, reading, exploring arts and culture. I’m an avid reader and founded the Axis Book Club, which meets monthly and provides a space to connect colleagues across departments.
