I’m Colin Baker, Vice President at Axis Insurance. I’ve been shaping and managing complex insurance programs for over two decades, with a focus on commercial insurance and risk management. I began my career processing vintage vehicle policies and went on to co-found a startup insurance brokerage before joining Axis. Since 2009, I’ve refined my expertise in enterprise risk management and claims support, partnering with clients to safeguard and grow their business interests. 

At Axis, I specialize in guiding our clients through the intricacies of risk mitigation, transference, and contractual review. My approach is comprehensive: assessing potential exposures, understanding each business’s unique challenges, and offering solutions that safeguard both present assets and future growth potential. I bring extensive experience in managing complex accounts and focus on delivering best-in-class service while fostering strong, lasting relationships with each client. My background in project management and board-level leadership has given me the insight to advise on multi-faceted risks, helping our clients lean into opportunities confidently. 

Outside of work, I’m passionate about learning and adventure. I’ve had the privilege of working across Europe, scuba-diving the Great Barrier Reef, and cycling the Kettle Valley Railway. These experiences fuel my perspective and drive to help clients adapt, grow, and succeed, no matter the challenges they face.
