I’m Dana Parkinson, Compensation and Benefits Manager at Axis Insurance, where I lead the design and delivery of total rewards programs that attract, engage, and retain top talent. My work spans competitive compensation practices, comprehensive benefits, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives, all underpinned by data-driven insights that support leaders and strengthen organizational performance. 

With over 20 years of progressive HR experience across Canada, the US, and Latin America, I’ve held senior leadership roles in the insurance, tech, and mining sectors. I’m a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR), SHRM-SCP, Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS), and Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR). My career highlights include leading multinational HR teams, developing executive and equity compensation plans, implementing HRIS systems, negotiating union agreements, and contributing to ESG, DEI, CSR, and health and safety initiatives. 

I specialize in global total rewards strategy, benefits design, payroll compliance, and cross-border employment practices, helping the business navigate human capital risks during growth, M&A, and regulatory change. By aligning rewards strategies with organizational goals, I enable resilience and create opportunities for success in dynamic environments.  

Beyond work, I enjoy hobbyist web development and design, exploring architecture, and traveling with my family in search of new adventures.
