Account Manager, Mining & Technology

I’m Jack Burchill-Roberts, an Account Manager in Broking Services and Account Administration at Axis. I support the Mining and Technology team by managing accounts, coordinating placements, and helping clients navigate insurance decisions with clarity across multiple lines of coverage. 

I began my career after studying Insurance and Risk Management at BCIT, earning both my Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) and Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designations within my first year in the industry. I also completed two internships with BFL Canada before joining their Financial Lines team, building a strong foundation in management liability. 

My expertise includes Directors and Officers liability, Employment Practices Liability, and Fiduciary Liability. I have experience working with mining clients as well as private and not-for-profit organizations, giving me a practical understanding of both operational and governance risks. I also contribute to research and marketing efforts to support informed, well-structured solutions.
 
At Axis, I focus on making complex coverage easy to understand. I break down policy wording, highlight key exposures, and support clear decision making. By helping clients understand their risks and options, I aim to build confidence and support better outcomes. 

Outside of work, I enjoy strategy and competition through card games, board games, video games, and trivia. I also stay active with swimming, hiking, and time in the gym.
