I’m Jack Mazakian, Senior Vice President of Professional and Financial Services at Axis Insurance. With more than 38 years of experience in the Canadian insurance industry, I help financial institutions navigate complex risk, regulatory, and insurance challenges with clarity and confidence.

I work with financial institutions and professional organizations operating in highly regulated environments. Our team helps clients strengthen their risk management and insurance programs while addressing professional liability, governance, operational, cyber, and emerging risks. We align insurance strategies with business objectives, risk appetite, and regulatory responsibilities to support long-term resilience and growth.

Throughout my career, I have held senior executive, practice leadership, and principal broker roles with Advocis Broker Services, Watford Insurance Brokers, BFL CANADA, and Willis Towers Watson. I have led national financial institution practices, built brokerage operations, managed complex insurance programs, and worked extensively with insurers, Lloyd’s markets, and strategic partners to develop solutions for organizations with sophisticated risk profiles.

I have been an active contributor to the Canadian insurance and financial services community, including presenting accredited webinars and educational sessions for financial advisors. I also contribute to the industry through interviews, educational articles, and advisor publications, providing perspective on emerging risks, professionalism, and loss prevention.
