I am John Federico, Assistant Vice President in Professional and Financial Lines at Axis Insurance. Based in Calgary, I support clients across Western Canada with specialized expertise in Professional Liability for engineers, land surveyors, and line locators, along with risk solutions for Construction, Manufacturing, Real Estate, and Aviation. 

I bring more than thirty years of experience in the insurance industry. Over that time, I have built a strong understanding of complex coverage needs and how they apply across different sectors. My focus is to provide clear guidance, identify potential gaps, and create insurance strategies that help clients operate with confidence. 

I am known among peers, underwriters, and industry partners for a practical and collaborative approach. Mentoring new professionals has also been an important part of my career. Helping others grow strengthens our industry and supports better outcomes for clients. I contribute to industry forums and initiatives that advance best practices in risk management. These experiences give me insight into emerging trends and allow me to bring forward looking solutions to clients who want proactive advice. 

At Axis I help clients turn uncertainty into purposeful action. My goal is to simplify complex issues, address exposures early, and support long term resilience. Outside of work, I enjoy golfing, traveling, cycling, and spending time with my family. These activities help me stay grounded and bring fresh perspective to my role.
