I’m Zachary Rusynyk, a Business Development Specialist at Axis Insurance, focused on the professional and financial services sectors. In my role, I drive growth through targeted sales campaigns, cold calling, prospecting, and developing outreach strategies that help connect our team with the right opportunities.
Before joining Axis, I built a strong foundation in the automotive industry as a Salesperson and Finance Manager, where I consistently exceeded sales targets and strengthened client relationships. The experience sharpened my ability to understand client needs, design tailored solutions, and deliver meaningful results. Today, I bring that expertise to the insurance industry, where I continue to expand my knowledge through ongoing education, including the Alberta General Insurance Level 1 Course.
I specialize in helping clients across local and regional markets identify and navigate financial risks with confidence. By taking a consultative approach, I ensure every interaction is focused on understanding their goals and building strategies that support sustainable growth. My work directly contributes to creating new opportunities for clients so that they can lean into risk and rest assured knowing they have the right protection in place.
Outside of the office, I serve as an Assistant Coach for the Wolverines Hockey Association and mentor youth athletes at both U18 and U21 levels, fostering leadership and teamwork. I’m passionate about giving back to my community and have volunteered my time with the Rotary Club in Victoria, BC. I also enjoy golfing, playing in winter hockey leagues, and spending quality time with family and friends.
