Senior Vice President, Manufacturing Wood Products

Hello, I’m Connie Rowley, proudly serving in the position of Senior Vice President, Wood Products Manufacturing Practice Group at Axis.

I’ve spent a good part of my career at the intersection of construction project management and commercial insurance. I joined Core Insurance in 2017 as an Account Executive, bringing my passion for wood products and construction into the role. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting clients in log home building, secondary wood manufacturing, and mass timber construction. With Axis’ acquisition of Core in late 2023, my role to lead the practice group inspires me to champion innovation and sustainability within the wood industry. It drives me to ensure that our clients have access to the most comprehensive and tailored insurance solutions, empowering them to succeed in an ever-evolving market.

My past contributions include serving on the Board of Directors for the International Log Builders’ Association. Currently, I’m involved with the Canadian Wood Council as a National Steering Committee member, the Ontario Woodworks Provincial Steering Committee for Ontario, and I also sit on the Advisory Board for the Green Construction through Wood (GCWood) Program under Natural Resources Canada. I have played a pivotal role in the strategic partnership between the Canadian Wood Council (Woodworks) and Axis (Woodsure), leading to the launch of the Mass Timber Program scheduled for Sept. 2024, bringing this program to the Canadian Insurance Landscape.

Outside of the office, I love spending time with my family, enjoying nature, turning wood pens on my lathe, hiking and canoeing.
