I’m Emma Chalmers, a Commercial Account Manager at Axis Insurance, specializing in small business insurance. With more than nine years of experience in the insurance industry, I support clients throughout the insurance lifecycle, from onboarding through to renewal. My goal is to provide clear guidance and responsive support so clients can make confident decisions about their insurance needs.

My focus is supporting small and medium-sized businesses as they navigate their insurance requirements and day-to-day challenges. I take the time to understand each client’s operations and provide guidance that helps them make informed decisions. By simplifying the insurance process, I help clients stay focused on running their businesses.

I began my insurance career in Scotland through an insurance apprenticeship and earned my CII Certificate in Insurance. During my time working within a large commercial team, I developed strong technical knowledge and gained valuable experience in client service and commercial insurance. I later progressed into management within the Enterprise team, where I further developed my leadership and account management skills. After relocating to Canada in 2023, I continued my career in insurance, focusing primarily on supporting small and medium-sized businesses.

My approach is centred on building strong relationships and helping clients navigate challenges and change as their businesses evolve. I believe insurance should be clear and accessible. I take pride in helping clients feel informed and confident in their coverage decisions.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I am also a keen runner and enjoy staying active, exploring new places, and travelling.
