Account Executive, Construction and Energy

I’m Paige Murphy, an Account Executive at Axis Insurance, where I focus on the Construction and Energy sectors, primarily in Alberta and British Columbia.

My journey in the insurance industry began in farm underwriting at Co-operators, and I later transitioned to the Oil and Gas sector in 2008 to deepen my expertise in energy. After seven years in underwriting, I earned my Level 2 license in Alberta and moved into a commercial producer role, specializing in insurance for earth movers, diggers, and everything related to construction.

Growing up in Victoria, BC, I worked with my father in his busy irrigation and construction business, taking on roles in management, project oversight, and risk analysis. This early exposure to the construction industry has shaped my career, allowing me to immerse myself fully in the sector here in Alberta. Along the way, I earned my CAIB and CIP designations and was honored to be nominated for the National Service of Excellence Award through Co-operators in 2010.

At Axis, I focus on providing comprehensive insurance solutions for builders, including wrap-up liability and course of construction (COC) coverage, while also concentrating on clients in the Energy sector. I take pride in being deeply involved in my community and industry, serving on the BILD Calgary committee and the Alberta Road Builders Association. I’ve led successful golf tournaments for these organizations and have been invited to give presentations to clients on the importance of proper insurance coverage.

Outside of work, I enjoy practicing yoga, walking with my two daughters, and exploring all things related to fashion and makeup.
