Hi there, I’m Kevin McLean, Senior Vice President at Axis Insurance. I’ve been helping clients shape risk success stories since 1993, a time when underwriters did not yet have e-mail addresses (remember the fax machine?). Since 2004 I have focused on serving insureds in the high-tech, life sciences, and not-for-profit sectors. From emerging startups to established enterprises, I enjoy crafting solutions that empower clients to navigate uncertainty with confidence.

Holding many insurance designations, and a BBA, I continue navigating complex risk environments seeking tailored solutions for our clients. Currently, I serve on the executive committee of TechAssure’s board of directors and spearhead risk and insurance related matters for Axis Insurance in Canadian Life Sciences and Technology realms.

Insurance is a “people business”, from shaping innovative insurance solutions to fostering strategic partnerships, it all is predicated on ‘utmost good faith’.  My aim for Axis’ life sciences, high-tech and not-for-profit practice is to define excellence in insurance broking while driving growth and resilience in a rapidly evolving risk landscape.

Outside work, you’ll find me cheering on college basketball teams (especially during March Madness) or tinkering with collector cars, especially 1960’s Volvos. And of course, nothing beats unwinding on a hike with my Golden Retriever.
